All residents are welcome to attend our general meeting on the
second Wednesday of each month in Abravanel Hall beginning at
9:30 am for refreshments and socializing. Stop at the greeters' table
for a name tag and to pick up a raffle ticket for a chance to win one
of the beautiful plants that we give away each month. If you want to
sign up for membership or for volunteering, stop at our hospitality

Our General Meeting is Wed., Aug.14. The August speaker is
Susan Krzywicki, who is a California native plant landscape designer
in San Diego County. Susan will discuss the "new normal" concept
of gardening, review key issues and discuss maintenance and
appreciation of native plants in the garden. You will learn about some
of the most iconic native plants – easy to grow and easy to love.
She was the first California Native Plant Society Horticulture
Program Director and has worked extensively across the state to
promote the projects that spearhead California's oldest and most
recognized native plant gardening program.
Susan started as chair of the San Diego Chapter Gardening
Committee, which inaugurated the popular San Diego Native Garden
Tour and the Native Garden Symposium, encouraging homeowners
to experience the strategic benefits of low water use, habitat creation,
and our unique ecological heritage.
Upcoming Event: The Garden Club will have its' annual plant sale
on Sat., Sept. 21 which coincides with the OHCC annual flea market.
So come and pick up some beautiful plants and garden-related
supplies.
