Left: The group performing at a Young At Heart Group event.
Right: Perla Williams, Instructor, and the Makua Hula Hawaiian Dancers have been very busy. They have performed for a private party, a 50th
wedding anniversary and entertained in a luau setting at the North Clubhouse to a fabulous crowd for the Young At Heart Group! It was a "mini
show" and then came the "hula lesson" from Barbara Finelly. Boy, those guys can move! Had a great time.
Makua Hula
As summer comes to a close, the Makua Hula Hawaiian
Dancers had a busy month. We were invited to The Mission
Commons Convalescent Home in Redlands where we
enjoyed dancing for a wonderful group of people.
Makua Hula recently entertained at The Lakes. This year
we were invited for two days. The first day, we danced at
the Memory Care Center. The center was decorated and the
patients were very receptive.
And just last week, we returned to The Lakes. They had
a very festive Hawaiian Luau Show. Makua Hula performed
many of their dances and the audience was very appreciative
for the ladies bringing a little bit of Hawaii to The Lakes.
Perla Williams, Instructor, has "new dances" that the ladies
have been practicing for the upcoming Follies Show on Nov.
