President's Message By Angela Takemoto
Well, hello again!
I am honored to have been elected to the Master Board, and then
elected President for the coming year.
This last election process was a bit divisive, and so I want to say
one thing. I want to lead the Master Board to success and harmony,
and I want ALL our residents to feel that the Board is acting in their
interest and listening to them.
We have many exciting and challenging projects ahead of us,
and working as a team, I know this new Board can make amazing
progress. Naturally, with some new members on the Board, we will
have to reconstitute some of the existing committees, and we will be
taking care of that this month.
I am reacquainting myself with the processes of the Board and
getting to know the HOA team. I will also be attending several
meetings of our standing committees, to understand their projects
and priorities.
And we, the Master Board, need to set our goals and priorities, for
the Community as a whole.
The day after the election, the Board spent the day in an orientation
meeting. We met with all our major vendors — Keystone Pacific,
our insurance broker, our attorney, and O'Connell Landscape
Management, to hear them review their services to us, and answer
questions. It was a very valuable day.
So, just a short message this month, and please note that due to
some scheduling conflicts, we will be holding our monthly open
Board Meeting on Mon., Sept. 16, in the afternoon, and not on the
normal Thursday.
I look forward to seeing you then!
