Everyone is learning a lot and having fun. Our new beginner's class, was fully booked, that started in March. Another beginner's class will start on Thurs., July 11. Art Lovers We are delighted to have Mary Perhacs again as our speaker on Tues., Sept. 17. Mary is the Executive Director at Fallbrook Arts Center and Fallbrook School for the Arts. Mary will introduce us to the upcoming events at the Fallbrook Art Center especially their 22nd annual Galaxy of Glass Show. On Fri., Sept. 16, Mary will be honored by the Rotary Club of Fallbrook for her longtime service in promoting the arts to the Fallbrook community. She will receive Rotary's "Service Above Self " award. For the past 17 years, Mary has devoted her time and energy between the Fallbrook Art Center and Fallbrook School of the Arts, two main divisions within Fallbrook Arts Inc. Mary seems to have inherited her artistic flair from her father, a pioneer in the field of Industrial Design and a musician in the Big Band era. Mary's artistic passion was enhanced after she met and married Les Perhacs, a nationally recognized sculptor. Mary worked with Les on managing his museum shows, gallery placements, and multiple public commissions which ultimately brought her to the Fallbrook Arts Inc. Under Mary's guidance, the curriculum has been reshaped, art classes have been expanded, and visitors to the Fallbrook Art Center have increased annually to make the Art Center profitable. Classes and exhibitions through Fallbrook Art's Inc. have attracted national attention. Please join us and meet Mary Perhacs on Tues., Sept. 17, in the Mykonos Room at 1 pm with refreshments being served at 12:30.
