| OHCC LIVING | SEPTEMBER 2019 | 29
Is that fall I sense in the air? One can only hope! With the waning
of summer, we "crafters" tend to get into a nesting mode, and the
projects our Sewing, Etc. group has scheduled this month will help to
get those creative juices flowing.
On Sept. 19, we will be learning to make a denim and mesh tote
bag from that pair of left-over jeans that you've had in the drawer. It's
a fun, easy project that provides you with a usable purse or carry-all.
On Sept. 26, we will be making decorative stuffed pumpkins – just
in time for the season. Easy, easy, easy! Sign up at our meeting Sept.
5, or on the clipboard in the Sewing Room after the meeting.
Our regular schedule: You will hear cheerful conversation (and
sometimes a lot of laughter) in the Sewing Room on Tuesday evenings
and Friday afternoons as we all work on our own projects, be they
crocheting, knitting, sewing, or whatever. Thursday mornings could
be your time for open sewing or special projects. Tuesday afternoons
are bustling with MaryLu Belisle and the knitters. On the second
Saturday we have a 'Sew-In', and on the fourth Saturday the Wearable
Arts group will be up to something fun with Pam Bechill. A complete
list of happenings is on the Bulletin Board in the Sewing Room.
If anyone would like to participate in our activities and is unable
to get to the Clubhouse, please contact Chris Sanderson at (858) 442-
1834. We have volunteers ready to pick you up!
Please visit our website, lovingly updated by Terri Eckhardt.
