26 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | SEPTEMBER 2019
Landscape Committee
Our
hot
days
and
nights
will
continue
for
at
least
another
month.
The
beautiful
landscape
of
our
common
areas
and
homes
is
best
maintained
by
efficient
watering.
Efficient
watering
means
greater
ground
absorption,
less
run
off,
and
less
cost.
Many
of
the
irrigation
systems
in
our
community
are
out-dated
and
not
efficient.
Your
landscape
committee
is
working
with
our
landscape
contractors
to
update
the
irrigation
systems
to
make
them
more
efficient
and
reduce
our
water
cost.
To
change
and
update
these
systems
is
very
expensive,
so
it
is
being
done
gradually
to
remain
within
budget.
In
the
meantime,
our
landscapers
are
constantly
repairing
our
current
irrigation
systems.
We
NEED
all
residents
to
be
observant
of
irrigation
breaks
and
problems,
and
to
report
them
by
calling
the
front
desk
with
a
description
and
location
of
the
issue.
The
landscape
contractor
covering
that
area
will
be
called
to
fix
the
problem.
Each
of
our
three
landscape
contractors
have
committed
to
being
on
call
seven
days
a
week
to
provide
urgent
irrigation
repairs.
Also,
if
you
notice
water
runoff
from
your
front
yard
drains
onto
sidewalks
and
gutters,
it
is
an
indication
of
excessive
and/or
inefficient
back
yard
watering.
As
residents
of
our
beautiful
Four
Seasons
community
let's
all
take
responsibility
for
efficient
irrigation
of
our
own
property,
as
well
as
the
common
areas,
and
be
good
stewards
of
our
water
resources.
If
you
are
interested
in
landscape
or
gardening
and
would
like
to
observe
and/or
become
a
part
of
our
committee,
please
join
us
on
the
third
Tuesday
of
the
month
at
1
pm
in
the
RCN
Conference
Room.
