Ceramic Corner Knitting & Crocheting We are currently working on several items. Two ladies have started a charity project, a few have made or are making very pretty, fancy and lacy scarves, and a couple are working on either knit or crochet tops. There's lots of variety right now. We will be planning another outing for lunch very soon. If you are interested in learning this hobby, stop by Tuesdays from 10 am to about 11:30 am in the Craft Room. We are willing to teach. Info., Dorothy, (951) 572-5436. ~ Dorothy Payne Camera Club We meet the third Tuesday of each month at 6:30 pm in the Craft Room at the Lodge. Our next meeting will be April 16. This group is for all levels, beginners and pros alike, and members are always eager to help and teach. Each month, we have an assignment to take and bring in a photograph of a different genre. We encourage you to attend even if you decide not to bring a picture. We are looking forward to seeing new faces. We have a lot of fun including photo outings, guest speakers, shows of work, and general sharing of ideas. The beginner camera class was held in March. There was good attendance with lots of enthusiasm, questions, and learning. All were eager to venture onto the second class. "Corks and Canvas" is April 18. Camera Club members join Art Club members to show some of their work, and the Wine Club will join in on the fun too! Info., Lyle Cameron, (951) 849-6987. ~ Lyle Cameron Spring is here and we just celebrated our one year anniversary at Four Seasons. Several students are working on Easter projects; there are rabbits, chickens and eggs. Other students are working on safari animals such as giraffes, elephants and African violet pots. Hand cast projects include pillow vases for those flower and plant clippings. There will also be a bumblebee, butterfly, dragonfly and grasshopper. Samples will be available soon. If you have never tried the art of ceramics and its relaxing property, join us in the Craft Room on Wednesdays, from 1 to 4 pm. Instructor, Pamela Mayoral, (951) 897-1922. ~ Pamela Mayoral Crafters It's time for you to find out how much fun it would be if you came to join us for crafts! We meet on the first and third Thursdays of the month in the Craft Room at 5:30 pm. We hope to see you there! ~ Pam Kelley & Rita Partida Creative Drawing & Sketching Class There are two classes available for drawing and sketching: Monday mornings from 10 am to 12 noon, and Wednesday evenings from 6 to 8 pm in the Crafts Room in the Lodge. The Monday classes are designed to be for a specific semester and the Wednesday classes are ongoing throughout the year. The Mondays class schedule for 2013 is Jan. - March 18 (first term), May 20 - July 22 (second term) and Oct. 7 - Dec. 9 (third term). The Wednesday evening classes typically have the more advanced students, many who have begun to work with colored pencils in addition to graphite. A student may attend any of the classes or just one. It is strongly recommended that new students attend the first class of a new semester on a Monday morning before deciding which class day they prefer. It is there that you will get to learn the supplies that you will need and honestly, the first class is lots of fun! The class is led by Rob Kelman, (951) 992-9156, e-mail, rbkdesigns@verizon.net. Please call or email any questions that you have. The class is free! You provide supplies which will be discussed in the first class. Just bring a sheet of paper and a pen or pencil for taking notes. It doesn't matter if you have never drawn before, you drew years ago, or you are an accomplished artist. The classes typically have a mix of all three. Each student works from a black and white photo of their choosing, at their own pace. This class is about individuality.
