| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | OCTOBER 2019 | 37 Pink Ukuladies and Gents On Sept. 24 the Pink Ukuladies and Gents joined other Inland Empire strummers for a day at Camp Morning Star in Angelus Oaks. It was a joyful experience of music, fun and laughter mingling around a fireplace of the large mountain cabin. The group is back with their regular class/ practice schedule at the Main Clubhouse on Mondays. Beginners are welcome and several new people have joined who have no previous experience. The Pink Ukuladies and Gents are looking for a bass player to join the Monday practices. If interested, please contact Director Lily Fedotowsky at (941) 662-0633. The club gives dance instructions and also has dances on Thursday evenings. The Thursday dances are our chance to get together with other nice people, practice all the dances we've learned and have a little fun. In September, we completed our ultra beginner dance sessions, so now we want all of our experienced dancers to come back and relearn the dances as well as learning some new ones. Line dance instructions will be held at the South Clubhouse on Mon., Oct. 7, 14, 21 and 28, from 7 to 8:30 pm. We are still teaching beginner line dances so new people can still come and give it a try. We have only one Country Western Dance this month. Country Western Dance Dinner Dance Club As we welcome the fall season, members will be able to enjoy our newly refurbished Ballroom and Main Clubhouse when we arrive for our October dinner dance on Sat., Oct. 19. Doors will open at 5:30 pm giving everyone a chance to come and socialize with all of your friends. The music by Gary Owens Duo will begin at 6 pm which gives us an opportunity to get a few dances in before dinner is served. The dinner menu begins with a pear and blue cheese salad with rolls, followed by the entrée of your choice: Beef short ribs for $24; Chicken Cordon Bleu for $23; or Eggplant Parmesan for $22. All meals will be served with mashed potatoes and a mixed vegetable. Finish off your meal with a delicious brownie and dish of ice cream.
