The poem below was written by one of our bowlers. Name of Bowling Teams What is it about bowling that's so much fun? And the names they come up with, I could name a ton- Like " Lane Changers," "King Pins" "Holy Rollers," and the " Odd Balls" "Allygators," " Tidy Bowlers" As they watch the pins fall- You can count on "Lucky Strikes" "Gutter Dusters," and " Lickety Split". But, if you miss the head pin- You can hear them holler - Heck (I cleaned it up) (Kristi Herring) Enjoy the winter league everybody. Sun Lakers III At the time of this writing we find TNT + 3 in first place. They are made up of Ed Sterger, Connie Matty, Paul Gomez, and Tom Tykodi. At the other end of the spectrum is Ho Lee Chit, Pam and Dave Obry, Joe Kollman, and Bill Casaga. As we finish this summer season the bowling alley and weather are both hot. Season high scores women's handicap game Stephanie Franklin 284, Mitzi Taniguchi 265, men's Mel Green 260, Jim Mccallum 254. If you're thinking about upping your game, Canyon Lanes will sell you new shoes or a ball and lessons, so the Winter season will be your best. This month we kick off our League for the fall. The date of the organizational meeting is set for Oct. 8 at 10 am in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom. Hope all the teams will have a representative there to get the information regarding the League rules. Bowling begins on Oct. 15 at 9 am at Canyon Lanes in Cabazon. Shadow practice begins at 8:50 am.
