Welcome to October 2019. Yes, another month has passed as we approach Thanksgiving and Christmas. In other words, time flies and so will our ages and experiences. But the best place to allow your time to go by is at Four Seasons Hemet. Where else can you receive a friendly wave, a smile, laughter or a yell other than here. As you leave the facility during the day on either World Cup Drive or Four Seasons Blvd., you can't miss folks walking their dogs, riding their bikes, jogging or walking alone; got to love the environment. Coming up soon will be our outstanding 6th Annual Car Show. The date is Saturday, October 19th, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. If you own an antique vehicle (or can get your hands on one) join us in the Lodge parking lot. We need volunteers, so if you have the energy-come on out and lend a hand. Four Seasons own musical group "Once Again" will perform on October 29th, and this includes a Halloween Costume contest. Trick or Treat candy can be passed out if you wish. I would like to highlight two hard working crews. The first is our office staff. Rick Ruth, of First Service Residential, our on- site management, has served in his position for 12 years. He has won several awards from his company and the Four Seasons Board of Directors for his attention to detail, organizational ability and staff skills, among other attributes. Backing him up is assistant general manager Mari Salazar. She comes with a tremendous set of administrative skills. Should Rick be out of the office for any reason, the show must and will go on. She steps in and keeps the ship afloat. Residents can rely on the office being properly staffed because of these and other long- term personnel, such as Louise Ceccarelli, the Activities Director. Louise also acts like a convention meeting planner for the lodge, which involves planning for any type of event including dinners, bus trips, concerts and various other social activities. And I have never known her to have a problem with the Hemet Herald (community newsletter) because it is always on time, every month. The other crew I want to highlight is the Access Control Committee (ACC), headed by Tim Taylor. They are primarily responsible for the safety and welfare of our community. In that capacity they have studied auto traffic, speed, crime and so on. One of our problems continues to be speeders. Some folks have trouble with a 25 miles per hour speed limit. Again, we ask for your help in adhering to the posted speed limit. The ACC has also recommended entry and exit upgrades of the front gate, which covers the resident and visitor lanes. This is something you will find novel, but very efficient over time. While Tim has an awesome electronic background, he is smart enough to employ his fellow committee members in all aspects of planning. See you at the next Board meeting. Message from the Board of Directors 2 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | OCTOBER 2019 | Sincerely, and on behalf of your Board of Directors, Jim Crase, Tony Criscenti, Gene Hikel, Ken Pounders, Cliff Post and Greg Rockvam Jim Hatcher President
