16 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | OCTOBER 2019 DID YOU KNOW? DID YOU KNOW that Four Seasons Beaumont has its OWN morning son? Yes, "son" with an "o"; by the name of Luis Felipe Morales; whom we know as "Felipe." Felipe, our morning son, rises at 1 am daily and "sets" at 5 pm. When you see him, you will surely recognize his 'bright-as-the-sun' smile that lights his face with one of the warmest, most brilliant smiles you have ever seen. Have you admired and perhaps even bragged about the pristine beauty of our Four Seasons environment? That beauty is partially due to the outstanding job Felipe does, as he diligently tends to the care of buildings and grounds here in our community. Felipe comes to us from Colombia and has worked here since October 2006. In his country, he was a missionary. And so, when he rises at 1 am, he continues his ministry by devoting approximately two hours of his morning to prayer; praying for all whom he knows are in need — whether from those he encounters on a daily basis, from a list established at his church, or from a list derived via an Internet source. He will have breakfast around 3:30 am, before preparing to arrive at work by 4:50 am (at least 10 minutes early). Now we can see, can't we, why he retires by 5 pm each day. Felipe is a very talented and interesting person. Among other things, he diligently studies his Catholic faith, writes inspirational prose and poetry, creates poetic acrostics, provides photography for events, and restores old photographs. He says that growing in his faith and giving love and prayers to others are the two things that bring him the most happiness. He also says that the best part of his job here at Four Seasons is the residents. What a gentleman! ~ Jan White DID YOU KNOW that you no longer have to wonder how to maneuver our Four Seasons website? An evening class is being offered on navigating fourseasonsbeaumont.org. All levels — novices to experts — are welcome. Larry Workman will be conducting the class in the RCN Main Room at 6:30 pm on Nov. 13. Reservations aren't required and there is no cost for the class. It's time to get over your fear of using the computer to easily gain access to the latest community information. DID YOU KNOW the HOA does not have an officially recognized political club or group? However, California law recently changed and now requires associations to allow political interest meetings in HOA common areas. DID YOU KNOW the latest winner of the website treasure hunt is Mark Metz? The icon has now been moved and the website is ready for the hunt to begin again. Go to fourseasonsbeaumont. org and look for the treasure chest logo hiding somewhere on the website. Once found, click on the icon and an email form will appear. Fill out the form and submit. A new winner will be selected each month. Winners can pick up their Kopper Kettle Bistro prize at The Lodge front desk.
