FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | OCTOBER 2019 7 Oh, my goodness! There is so much going on around here in October! You had better eat your Wheaties this month if you intend to keep up with all of the events. Check out this list of opportunities: Oct. 5 from 8 am to 2 pm is the HOA Garage Sale, where people become millionaires selling their junk and where residents find secret treasures at amazing prices. Oct. 5 from 7 to 9 pm in the Amphitheater, there is a concert called "Music Under the Stars" put on by the African American Club. The showcased band is a five piece favorite, called "Remembrance" and they are memorable! Everyone in the community is invited. Last year AACC passed out free snack bags and Jell-O shooters; who knows what they'll do this year? Please don't set your chairs out before 10 am that morning. Oct. 11 at 5 pm in The Lodge, we have the Step it Up Line Dancing "Barn Burner Dance" which is where the line dancers get to really put on their dancing shoes (check out their article). All are welcome. It's an awful lot of fun! Oct. 12 at 4 pm is the "Blessing of the Animals." What a neat opportunity to bless our dear little companions. All animals are welcome. Oct. 12 is Karaoke at 5 pm. Bring your best singing voice and your sense of humor, not necessarily in that order. It's a really harmonious time and a great thing to do for free on a Saturday night. Oct. 19 is the Harvest Craft Fair in The Lodge Ballroom from 9 am to 2 pm. Come and check out our incredible Four Seasons bakers, crafters, and artisans. Get a jump on buying your unique gifts for the upcoming holidays. Oct. 26 is the Social Committee Magic Castle event. Call The Lodge and check for ticket availability. This is going to be a great show! Oct. 30 is The Halloween Lodge Loggia Concert and Party. What a fun idea to hold a concert with the amazing band "American Made" who will be doing their 50s and 60s dress up show. Please feel free to dress up too. We need as many human props for this party as we can get! A candy bar and Halloween refreshments will be provided. Come to rock out in the moonlit night. The concert party starts on the Loggia at 6:30 pm and goes to 8:30 pm. You may put your chairs out after 4 pm. Everyone is invited and there is no charge to attend. See, I told you that you were going to have to eat your Wheaties to keep up! Have a wonderful October and enjoy the fall in full force. (My fingers are crossed for cooler weather.) See you around The Lodge! Activities Director Cor ner By Cindy Graves, Activities Director
