64 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | OCTOBER 2019 Fishing Club I hope all my fishing friends had a great summer. Soon we will start fishing for trout, which I do as much as possible because my wife loves eating trout. I've been asked if I prefer salt or fresh water fishing. The truth is, fishing is fishing. If I had to choose, I would choose fresh water fishing. We live in a place with lots of fresh water fishing spots nearby. I am getting old and know my driving limitations. I don't think I am strong enough to pull in a 400-pound fish from the ocean. The weather is getting nice and should allow those with heat issues to start fishing again. It is no fun getting sick while you are catching the fish of a lifetime. I know many people in Four Seasons who have fished before or would like to go fishing. Once again, if you have fishing pictures please send them to me and I will make sure they get in the Breeze. If you would like to go fishing, just email me and we will set up a fishing trip. There have been times that I did not go fishing because I did not have anyone to go with me. For safety reasons I always like to fish with one or more persons in case of emergency. You never know when you are going to fall into a lake or river. I can loan you equipment to see if you like the sport. Fishing is a great way to make new friends, relax, and enjoy life. I recently went ocean fishing and it was both good and bad. The good part was I caught a huge shark. I fought it for over 45 minutes — it was a great battle. My other fishing buddy tried to get the fish in the boat, but it was too big and we let it go. It was a good thing that we did not get the fish in the boat because it would have torn up the boat's new upholstery. The bad thing was that one of the guys got seasick. I told him to take motion pills before leaving but he said he never got sick. He spent all his time throwing up and lying down in the boat. I am not going to mention Dennis' name because that might embarrass him. Tight lines to all my fishing buddies. Remember, if you get lucky and catch a bunch of fish, make sure you spread the wealth by giving fish to your friends and neighbors. You will be surprised to find out how many people love to eat fish. ~ Richard Carrasco, ricarrasco52@gmail.com Richard getting ready to cook a particularly tasty looking catfish!
