FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | OCTOBER 2019 43 Country Line Dancing Line Dancing class this month will consist mostly of reviewing all of our dances in preparation for our holiday party in November. We have over 50 dances in all three classes, so reviewing them becomes necessary. We are also doing a group outing to The Branding Iron in San Bernardino in early November and will be taking sign ups in class the end of month. This is a very busy time of year for all of us. Be sure to get in some exercise, and what better way than dancing? If you have ever considered line dancing, please stop by any Tuesday afternoon to watch. Or if you want to try, join my very beginner class from 1:30 to 2 pm. Any questions? Please call Martha Franck at (714) 345-8588. See you on the dance floor! ~ Martha Franck Let's Dance The date is set for our Christmas Dinner Dance on Friday, Dec. 13, with music by Rhonda and the Showdown. Please mark your calendars and watch for the poster with all the information in The Lodge by the first week of November. Tickets sell fast and you don't want to miss this! The dance for October is the Salsa… aka Mambo. This is a fast- paced dance, which is remarkably simple and fun to do. Salsa is a very old dance that has regained popularity. It uses many patterns you might already be familiar with if you know the Cha Cha or the Rumba. We will be doing a milder version of Salsa called the Mambo, so we can dance this anywhere and have a great time. From contemporary to traditional Latin music, you will find you are going to love this dance because of its feisty fun nature, its versatility, and easy footwork. Our dance group is for regular folks who like to dance. Nothing fancy. No judging or competition. We just do something that's fun together. Some have never danced, so they learn from scratch. Others have some experience, so they improve their dancing skills. Everyone is welcome and everyone enjoys learning to dance. The exercise for our bodies and our minds is a bonus and keeps us fit. Plan to join us in the Ballroom on Mondays from 6 to 7 pm for newcomers and beginners and from 7 to 8 pm for intermediate and advanced. The cost is $10 per person with our professional instructors. For more information, contact Puring or Gary Stifter at (951) 922-8333 or at purings@verizon.net. ~ Sue Condurachi
