| OHCC LIVING | OCTOBER 2019 | 15 Art Room News We are certain that the recent display in the Art Room by the Papercrafting Group was enjoyed by all who viewed it, and we thank the members for their participation: Rhonda Anchales, Cathy Andrusky, Mary Ann Barbee, Karin Barnes, Shellie Bean, Cindi DeWeese, Kathy Kelsay, Lorraine Kleeman, Jan, Malone, Kathy Moskovitz, Kerry Peyton, and Barbara Roe. Now we invite you to visit the newest installation in the Art Room featuring a broad spectrum of art work in a variety of media. Be sure to read a little about each artist in the info pocket on the slat board. We send continued good wishes to our installation helper, Frank Boynton. If you'd like to show your artistry in a future exhibit, please contact Judy Harris or Lainy Vinikow. Enjoy! Stained Glass Another beginner's stained glass class has just finished. Photos are the finished pieces by Ron Lyon, and Dave Toppen (shown). We also did a mosaic class, Sandy Coleman is holding her Mosaic rock. We will be scheduling the next beginner's class next spring. If interested, contact Jo Marr at jo.linda. marr@gmail.com. Art Lovers The Art Lovers will be carpooling to the Fallbrook Art Center at 103 S. Main Street in downtown Fallbrook on Tues., Oct. 15, to visit their annual Galaxy of Glass show. The 22nd annual show features works by more than 20 regional glass artists. Processes include blown, cast, fused, slumped, and carved artworks. The Galaxy of Glass is one of the Fallbrook Art Center's longest running annual shows, and it continues to attract new artists eager to participate as well as collectors and art appreciators alike. It offers visitors a wonderful opportunity to experience fine art glass in a beautiful gallery setting. You will find beautiful gift items to purchase in their Gallery Glass Store with jewelry, tumblers, paperweights, perfumers and more. The store also features a wide variety of local artisans' merchandise including jewelry, wood, glass, gourd, and fiber art in addition to art greeting cards - all at affordable prices. Admission to the Fallbrook Art Center is $6 pp. A group luncheon is being planned at a nearby location. Details of the carpool trip will be available soon in a member email.
