The Oct. 8, meeting of the Ocean Hills Anglers club is at 7 pm in
the Mykonos Room, in the Clubhouse. All members and guests are
invited to attend this, or any regular monthly meeting held the second
Tuesday of the month in the Mykonos Room. Come to the meeting to
hear about the plans for the Nov. 12, end of the year dinner meeting at
the Jolly Roger in Oceanside Harbor.
The Aug. 25 BBQ was once again a sellout for the "Party of the
Year." Everyone enjoyed the music by the Bayou Brothers, catered
"Cajun food" by Bobby, and the smoked and barbecued fish caught
and prepared by members of the Anglers Club. It was a perfect
evening and we danced the night away and won many nice prizes
in the 50/50 drawing. The grand prize of $230 was won by Barbara
Becker.
We are looking forward to the Oct. 17-18, one day trip on the
Voyager as we complete our offshore fishing trips for the year. There
are more Yellowtail, Dorado, Bluefin Tuna and Yellowfin Tuna out
there for us to catch on this last trip of the year.
Please join us at the Oct. 8 meeting for fun and fellowship about
angling in our local waters, and the latest "Fish stories." We will
elect new officers for 2020, discuss plans for fishing in 2020, take
reservations for the end of the year party Nov. 12, at the Jolly Roger in
Oceanside Harbor, and have another 50/50 drawing at our meeting
with a chance for you to win some cash if your lucky ticket is drawn.
Tickets are six for $5, or $1 each.
