28 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | NOVEMBER 2019 | Sun Lakes Follies The Sun Lakes Follies proudly presents "Another Op'nin, Another Show." Show dates are Fri., Nov. 8 and Sat., Nov. 9. Both shows are at 7 pm. Pre-sale tickets are sold from 10 am to 3 pm in the Main Clubhouse Lobby Oct. 29, 30, 31, Nov. 5, 6, and 7. Tickets are $10 pp and will also be available at the door. Last month's production of It's A Wonderful Life was a tremendous success! For those who had never attended one of our past readers theater productions before, they couldn't have picked a better opportunity to experience it, especially since so many of us are familiar with and love the movie. Having live sound effects added another dimension to the production as well. Our club was also invited to provide entertainment for the Garden Club's tea party last month and we put together a reader's theater production of Alice in Wonderland. It was a great opportunity for some of our cast members to perform for the first time with a script that allowed them to use different personalities and voices for each of the characters they portrayed. Thank you to the Garden Club for letting us entertain you. It's time to elect new officers for 2020 and ballots were e-mailed to all the members for voting. The deadline to vote is Nov. 5. If you didn't receive an email and need a ballot, or have any questions, contact Lee Stone at (858) 735-3216. The theme for the 2020 production of That's Entertainment is "Chasing the Dream." If you are a singer or dancer and want to perform, your music must be an award winning song or one from an award winning movie or musical. Other types of acts are also welcome. If you're interested in performing or have any questions regarding the show, contact Sue Dunn at (951) 769-7552 or at alsuedunn@gmail.com. The dates for the show are Feb. 27 through March 1. The date for our holiday party announced at the last meeting has been changed to Dec. 4. More information to follow at next month's meeting, but put this date on your calendar and come out and enjoy the holiday season with your fellow club members. Our meetings are the first Tuesday of each month at 1 pm in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom. If you have any interest in acting, helping backstage, volunteering for other jobs, or are curious about what we do, come join us to see what we are all about. Join our Facebook group "Sun Lakes Playhouse" for more information as it happens. For membership information, please contact Sue Dunn at (951) 769-7552 or at alsuedunn@gmail.com. Chorale Get your tickets to the Chorale's "Fall Family Festival, Home For the Holidays." Ticket sales will be in the South Clubhouse during the week of Nov. 4. From Nov. 11 to 21, tickets will be sold in the lobby of the Main Clubhouse, and thereafter at the door before each concert. Tickets are $10 pp, and $5 for children under 12. The concert series will be in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom at 7 pm on Fri., Nov. 22 and Sat., Nov. 23 at 7 pm, and on Sun, Nov. 24 at 3 pm.
