14 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | NOVEMBER 2019 | Yea, good for us, we got through October with all of its scary threats of trick or treat that's known as Halloween. Now we will proceed to calmly tell ourselves that we will not over stuff on "Gobble, Gobble Thanksgiving Day" – "AIN'T LIFE GRAND?" On top of that, on Nov. 3, we once again must turn our clocks back to "Not Saving Daylight Time." At my age, I need to save ALL the time I can, because it's speeding by far too quickly. Luckily, this year I'll get back a couple hours when I don't need to take time to vote on Election Day. Please don't forget our veterans on Veterans Day, Nov. 11 with deep and heart-felt thanks. The Bistro will once again be offering Francisco's traditional dinner to satisfy our Thanksgiving hunger. As before, the two seatings will be at noon and 2 pm. This year, you may choose your table when you purchase your tickets. If you are doing a group gathering, please purchase all your tickets together as a group! Please remember there is NO TIP included with this meal, the kitchen and wait staff all give up their holiday to sweeten our day, so in return we should remember to sweeten their pockets in thanks for being there to serve us. Would you rather the tip be included on the ticket price? Let us know! As a reminder, the Bistro will be closed the next day, (Friday) when Francisco and staff will enjoy their belated day of thanks. Our lucky "Sunday Brunch for Two" ticket winner for September is Marjean Powers and was pulled by Jim Hatcher at the BOD meeting on Sept. 25. The next Sunday Brunch will be Nov. 10, so come in and enjoy. Speaking of parties, Christmas is not far away, get your holiday gathering on Louise's calendar soon, dates are filling up. The Bistro Committee finds we must strictly enforce the rental rule about anyone who sponsors a party. They, (SPONSOR) must attend ANY/ALL meetings connected to said event/party. If sponsor is not in attendance, the meeting will be canceled and must be rescheduled within 48 hours for a new meeting time OR that contract becomes VOID and further dealings & paperwork must start over from scratch. All parties and events can only be booked through Louise or her assistent at the front desk. All event food orders must go through the Bistro Liaison unless event is held inside the Bistro seating area. That's me, Patt Double "T" Bistro Committee Name: _____________________________________ Address: ___________________________________ Phone: _____________________________________ FREE SUNDAY BRUNCH FOR Two at the Bistro at Four Seasons (not valid on holidays or special events) NOVEMBER 2019 Hemet Herald • Limited to ONE ENTRY per residence per month Facilities Committee The Facilities Committee meets twice a month to review homeowner input, receive the inspection report from two committee members on maintenance items that need attention and review new and old business. The Committee wants to stress that we need your input on anything that you see that you believe needs to be looked into. Any written submission to the Facilities Committee is taken seriously and is looked into. And the resident is given a written response as to what action is being taken. So please, if you see something that bothers you, submit a written report to the Committee. Forms are available at the front desk for this purpose. Besides making sure that our community is maintained to a high level, the Facilities Committee is looking into long term projects to improve what we already have. These include resurfacing the pool deck to remove or cover unsightly stains from pool chemicals and rust marks, consider enlarging and improving the dance floor, look into replacing the carpet in the Ballroom and look into a "facelift" to the lodge. The facilities committee is dynamic in that we are always looking for ways to keep our community one of the best in the nation. We have heard residents who have lived in other 55 plus active retirement communities say that Four Seasons Hemet is the best they have seen by far. The facilities committee is committed to keep it that way!
