The Nov. 12 dinner meeting, open to members of the Ocean
Hills Anglers Club and their guests, is at the Jolly Roger restaurant
in Oceanside Harbor. The no host social will begin at 5:30 pm
with dinner at 6:30 pm. The cost is $35 per person, which includes
Caesar salad, with your choice of three delicious entrée selections;
Prime Rib, Grilled Mahi Mahi, or Macadamia Nut Chicken, with your
choice of ice cream or carrot cake for dessert. This last meeting of
the year will give you the opportunity of enjoying a fine dinner, fun
and fellowship. If you have not already signed up, you may do so in
the Clubhouse at the front desk. Deposit your check for $35 for each
dinner, select your menu choice and put your check in the Anglers'
Club check folder. We will also have many great prizes in the 50/50
drawing.
The September overnight trip on Voyager, fishing offshore in
Mexican waters was a great success and a lot of fun for the 15 lucky
anglers aboard. Captain Todd and crew did a great job of finding
some biting tuna, helping us land them, and we enjoyed three
excellent meals. All in all, it was a great day on the water catching 37
Yellowfin Tuna in the 20-25-pound class and one Bluefin Tuna. The
jackpot was won by guest Oliver Storm with a 25-pound Yellowfin.
As of this writing, we are looking forward to our last trip of the
year on Oct. 17-18, overnight on the Voyager; as we complete our
offshore fishing season.
