FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | DECEMBER 2019 35
Our November Neighborhood Watch meeting was well
attended by residents. Beaumont Police Department
and California Highway Patrol personnel were
present to provide our residents with information
on the proper protocols and procedures in
the event of a community-wide evacuation.
The residents had many questions of the law
enforcement officials during an extensive question
and answer period.
I think our residents came away from the meeting
with information that would better prepare them in the event
that an evacuation is declared by authorities. Thank you to our law
enforcement for taking the time to assist us.
The holiday season is upon us and traffic will be heavy on the
roadways throughout our area. Please be careful driving and,
whenever possible, shop with friends or family members to minimize
the possibility of becoming a victim of a crime. Keep your purchases
out of sight if they are being left in your vehicle while you continue
shopping. Park in a lighted area if you are shopping at night and have
your keys in your hand to facilitate a quick entry into your vehicle.
When driving in our community, please stay within the lawful
speed limits. Four Seasons Circle is 30 mph, residential streets are
25 mph and alleys are 15 mph. If you are walking in our community,
walk on sidewalks, watch for vehicles while you are crossing
streets and use crosswalks when they are available. If
you are walking at night have a flashlight with you and
wear light colored clothing or reflective vests. The
holiday season is a joyful time so have a wonderful
time, and be safe in all your activities.
Thank you to all our block captains for all you
do for our community and the members of the
Neighborhood Watch steering committee wishes all
our residents a happy holiday season. ~ Jerry Monahan,
