56 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | DECEMBER 2019 Our November 4x4 excursion was The Pinkham Canyon Trail. Trailhead access is at Joshua Tree National Park - Cottonwood Visitor Center. Pinkham is a 19 mile wash trail from JTNP down to Interstate 10. After a stop at the visitor center, nine club vehicles with 14 club members and guests made our way through the Mojave. Those participating: Rick Brower and his guest Mike, Barry Stewart and his guest Joyce, Gail Smith, Larry and Sharon Haig, Rick MacGillivray and his guest George, Rocky Shaw, Su Sloan, and Scott and Joette Snyder… and newest club member, John Burns, a retired Navy Veteran. I think we all agree, it was another safe/incredible off-road adventure. It's nice to have the peace of mind traveling with our group. The background of our members and the gear we carry can provide a response to any emergency. Whether it be mechanical or medical, the help you might need is right here. Anyone not in the club who would like to come out and see what we do, our meetings are the first Tuesday of the month at 6 pm in The Lodge Arts & Crafts Room. The Thursday following the Tuesday meeting is our official 4x4 outing. Going out once a month is not enough for some, so we'll get together on short notice to go see a new local trail, or with a little planning, something overnight. The dates haven't been set, but we are due for another Moab trip. ~ Scott Snyder, scottdonaldsnyder@gmail.com 4x4 Seasons As this year comes to a close, our Taste d'Vine Wine Club would like to wish each of you a very joyous and exciting holiday season. 2019 has been a fun year for our club – we had a wonderful free Beatles Tribute concert for our members; new wines presented by various "experts" along with presentations by some of our great members; and an entertaining bus trip to Temecula to taste at three different wineries; and last but not least our wonderful holiday party later this month! Barbara Mull and I have enjoyed serving as your President and Vice President and look forward to 2020 and seeing our new Steering Committee Officers – headed by Gracy Luna – take us through a fantastic year highlighted by new experiences and tasty wines. We will not have our "regular" meeting this month. Our annual holiday party will be held the third Thursday of December. Happy Holidays – looking forward to seeing you in 2020 – our meetings are the third Thursday of each month.
