20 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | December 2019 | Sharing Our Team (above) Unfortunately, this is only part of the team who provide services and loving care to this community. It is almost impossible to get all gathered in one place but these individuals are part of what makes our service so special in Four Seasons. Thank you for your support. One of Our Specialty Teams: The Dessert Team (above) Annette Smith, Carole Barber (Chair), Tami Baginski, Geri Prins, Nancy Drake, and Deede Hulme. Residents can now see the faces of those ladies who call for a dessert contribution. This also gives us the opportunity to thank you for your donation of desserts. It works because of your generosity. You are part of the service we provide to the community. Thank you! Celebrations of Life/Memorials We recently received word that Anita Brooks had passed away. We send our condolences to Marty and the Brooks family. A home celebration was held in November. Desserts were provided by Team Sunshine. We have also heard of the passing of Bruce Cowie. Our condolences go to Caran and the Cowie family. "Grief, I've learned is really just love. It's all the love you want to give but cannot. All of that unspent love gathers up in the corners of your eyes, the lump in your throat and in that hollow part of your chest. Grief is just love with no place to go." A special request to the community. If you know of a resident in your neighborhood who has suffered a loss, please ensure that Team Sunshine is alerted. The services we provide are many. A card and a loving and caring phone call can make a big difference. So often these folks suffer this grief alone. We are here to provide some support that lets them know "we care." Thank you. Resource Meeting Reminder A Caregiver Support Group meets the first Tuesday of each month from 10:30 to 11:30 am at 8190 Parry Drive in Four Seasons. Please join us for this very interesting and informative dialogue on "helps" when you are caring for a loved one in your home. Thank you. Team Sunshine Information: Please fill out a *NEEDS* Form at The Lodge Front Desk if you know of someone who has recently lost a loved one. This form can also be used for various kinds of needs assistance. In case you prefer not to call but would like us to know of a need, this form will record your concern and will be passed on to the appropriate Team Sunshiner. Medical Equipment: We do have donated/used medical equipment that we deliver and pick up from residents. Residents who request medical equipment are required to sign a waiver form. Return of medical equipment is requested by contacting Jeanne Lincoln (765-7112). We have enlarged the medical equipment team to include: Rose Harvey, Donna Morrell and Patty Jones. Our Prayer Warriors Marietta Ruppaner conducts a prayer circle once a month to pray for our residents in need. All are welcome to attend the prayer circle. Just give Marietta a call and she'll give you the date, time and place. Also, if you have a prayer request, get in touch with Marietta or place your prayer request in the Prayer Box in the Multipurpose Room. We are thankful for the service they give to our community. Closing Thoughts "But the most beautiful things in life are not just things. They're people and places, memories and pictures. They're feelings and moments, smiles and laughter." ~ Author Unknown Team Sunshine With each sunrise we are given a chance for a new beginning
