| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | December 2019 | 7
Dec. 14 in the Lobby from 2 to 4 pm.
Bring the grandchildren to visit Santa
and get their pictures taken.
This is my last article for the Hemet
Herald. As many of you know, I am retiring
and Dec. 13 will be my last day here. As I
look back at the past seven years and nine
months, a lot of good memories come to
mind. I have met so many great people who
have enriched my life; we have planned some fun events together,
listened to some great music on the plaza, and shared experiences
and trials. You have all made a mark that will not soon be forgotten.
Retirement conjures up many ideas and feelings that are new to
me, but I have had some very good teachers here who have shown me
what retirement should be like. Several of you have asked what I plan
to do. Well, for the first month I don't plan to do anything… haha!
Then I look forward to sleeping in, doing more cooking, spending
some time with my grandchildren, and hopefully traveling. My
husband and I are moving to Wyoming next summer, if all works out
as planned. It has been a desire of ours for a long time. We hope to
spend more time in quiet, less traffic, more fly fishing, enjoy a slower
paced life.
My last event here will be Thurs., Dec. 5 from 5 to 7 pm in the
Ballroom. Come enjoy some live piano music, champagne or cider,
and appetizers and meet your new Activities Director — let's get the
holidays rolling in a fun and friendly way.
See you around the Lodge for just a few more days…
