| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | DECEMBER 2019 | 53 Lady Executive Golf Welcome to Lady Executive Golfers (LEGS)! We are a 9-hole club on the Executive Course. We play weekly on Tuesday mornings with mixed play, fun scrambles and a monthly tournament. In addition, we participate with other clubs for 18-hole tournaments and "away games" a few times during the year. Beginning Oct. 1, we will meet at 8:30 am with a tee time at 9 am. The third Tuesday of each month is our monthly meeting and lunch ($10) at the South Clubhouse. Guests welcome! For lunch information, call Evon Montague, (951) 769-3279. We emphasize fun and socializing while striving to improve our game and become more familiar with the Rules of Golf. Join us! Lady Niners We hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We all have so much for which to be thankful! Our Christmas luncheon and installation of officers will be on Fri., Dec. 6 in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom and will start at 11 am. This is always such a wonderful way to end the busy year. As far as golfing is concerned, our first Thurs., Dec.5 will be our scramble. The general meeting will be part of our installation and luncheon on Fri., Dec. 6. The second Thursday will be Cup Day along with our regular play. Then on Dec. 19, we will have our "fun game." From Christmas through Jan. 3, there will be "open play." If you are interested in finding out more about our club, please contact Teri at (951)769-3704. Women's Golf The Sun Lakes Women's Golf Club (SLWGC) would like to invite all lady golfers, regardless of skill level or experience, to come out and play a round with our members on Thurs., Dec. 12. No entry fee, no pressure, you don't even need a handicap — just come and meet some fun ladies and learn what the club is all about. Members of the LEGS and Lady Niner's clubs are welcome too. All invitees will receive a welcome gift as well. Tee times begin at 9 am; play will be for 18 holes of golf. Afterwards, join the ladies in the lounge for some hot chocolate (or something a little bolder) to meet and greet and have your questions answered. The SLWGC has something for every golfer. Next year will be a greater mixture of competitive days and more open play for those who want to get out and enjoy the game. There are all skill levels in the club. The pairings are flighted so that you may play at the level you are most comfortable or challenge yourself to learn and grow. If you would like to join us for "Sun Lakes Ladies Day," flyers are in either Pro Shop. The deadline to sign up is Dec. 7. Place entry form in an envelope marked "Sun Lakes Ladies Day," and drop in Women's Golf Club lock box – located at the back of the main Pro Shop. Questions? For new members to obtain a GHIN handicap number, you'll need to play five 18-hole rounds on the Championship course (that is - if you don't have a GHIN number from a previous club or if it's not current). We offer Associate Memberships for previous SLWGC members for only $25. If you no longer play the Championship Course or no longer desire having a GHIN handicap, we welcome you to join. You are entitled to participate in our First Thursday's Luncheons/General Meetings, receive our newsletters, assist in tournaments and attend our Christmas luncheon.
