Although each piece is quite different, they seem to form a creative unity on the slat board, full of color and form and texture. The works are of various mediums, but primarily watercolor, and feature the artistry of Bonnie Krichbaum, Jan Malone, Bill Manishor, Mike McCaslin, Mary Ann Nepinsky, Malcolm Reinhardt, and Emilia Silveria. A brief bio of each artist's background is highlighted in the plastic packet hung on the slat board and it's interesting to see how their personal history is reflected in their art. Thank you, again, creative people, for sharing your talent with our community! And thanks to Mike McCaslin and Jan Malone for their help with the installation. The Art Lovers Club invites members and guests alike to attend their annual Holiday Luncheon which will be held on Tues., Dec. 10 at the nearby Shadowridge Golf Club, 1980 Gateway Drive in Vista. The delicious luncheon will begin at 11:30 am and end at 2 pm. The menu includes mixed organic green salad with baby greens, dried cranberries, toasted almonds and bleu cheese dressing. There is a choice of: Grilled AtlanticsSalmon with mango-papaya relish, fingerling potatoes and garlic asparagus, butternut squash ravioli, browned butter sauce and crispy sage or creamy dijon chicken, rice pilaf with seasonal sautéed vegetables. The luncheon also includes assorted rolls and whipped butter, regular or decaf coffee or iced tea, and a dessert of chocolate fudge cake. Alcoholic beverages may be purchased. The cost for members is $29 (partially subsidized by the Art Lovers Club) and the cost for guests is $36. (Tax and gratuities are included in the price.) We will have installation of the Board Members for 2020 as well as some surprises. Please leave your check, payable to OH Art Lovers Club at the reception desk at the Clubhouse by Sat., Nov. 30. No refunds after Mon., Dec. 2. Please indicate on your check which entrée you prefer: salmon, chicken or squash ravioli.
