| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | January 2020 | 7 Happy New Year! New year, new beginnings. I'm Tracie Rodgers your new Activities Director. I had the privilege to work with Louise before she retired and I certainly understand why she will be greatly missed. I am so excited to be a part of your active community. Each morning as I enter the Four Seasons at Hemet I am struck by the beauty of the sun rising over the golf course. On my way into the Lodge there always seems to be a resident walking by offering a friendly greeting. I welcome the conversations. I want to hear your suggestions. I want to see pictures of your grandbabies or your precious pooch. I want to know you. Please stop by and introduce yourselves. I have already received such a warm welcome from so many. I have to mention the Holiday Decorating Committee. I love all things Christmas and this group of volunteers really went above and beyond. Thank you for your time and attention to detail: Joann Supata, Karen Hikel, Bev Rockram,Rosemary Tassoni, Barbra Balser, Molly Wergeland, Beth Flannagan, Debbie James, Karen Sedzda, Linda Smith. Also a special mention to Mila and Leonid Bodrov for the Hanukkah display. As the year unfolds more volunteer opportunities will be available. Working with volunteers has been very rewarding. I find that volunteers usually sign up to be involved with a willing and energetic spirit. Who doesn't want to be surrounded by people who are happy to help? Volunteers are essential to a healthy and thriving community. I am already impressed by the many committees and groups that make this community hum. Getting the new folks that have chosen to make Four Seasons at Hemet their home involved, will be a priority. As a lifelong Girl Scout this song verse comes to mind, "Make new friends but keep the old, one is silver and the other is gold." Again, I am excited and to be a part of your active community. See you in the Lodge. A Note From Your Activities Director By Tracie Rodgers
