A new year is upon us, and with it newly purchased New
York Times paperback bestsellers, westerns and audio books
for Main Clubhouse, and 300 to 500 piece puzzles for North
Clubhouse. Also recently donated were approximately 200
large print books, which we've been adding to the Main
Clubhouse paperback library large print section as space
permits.
Purging books published prior to 2010 is scheduled
for January in the Main Clubhouse paperback and North
Clubhouse libraries, thereby enabling us to make room for
newer donations and purchases. Donations are welcome,
but please - only those published 2010 or later. If you wish to
donate a large quantity, please contact Leeann McLaughlin
first at (909) 973-3143. Books published prior to 2010 may
be donated at the Calimesa, Cabazon or other local libraries
and some thrift stores. Current magazines may be placed
in the Main Clubhouse hardback library magazine rack.
The libraries do have an opening on our advisory
committee. If interested, please fill out an interest form
at the Main Clubhouse front desk, or contact the number
above. We also welcome volunteers to shelve books, which
normally takes a half hour (more or less) once every two
weeks. It's a great way to become acquainted with new or
unfamiliar authors. Hope to see you at the next book sale!
