As we plan our upcoming projects, we want to share that we are doing a group quilt. Also, we're doing a demo on an easy way to put binding on. Please come join us. We're here to help. If you want input, we'd love to help you find ways to improve your skills. We meet the first, third, and fifth Mondays at 1 pm. If you would like to know what the Scrapbooking group is all about, come visit our table on Activities Day, Sat., Jan. 18 in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom, from 9 am to noon. The name of our group will very possibly be changing soon to better reflect what we do, as we have evolved and expanded into other related areas. We are not just Scrapbookers. Several of us make cards, others make books and journals, some work on jewelry projects, and still others work on digital photo albums. Then there are those who just come to socialize with like-minded people. We are creators and makers. We meet every Monday afternoon from 1 to 3 pm in the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room. The only exception to this is the second Monday of each month. That day is reserved for our birthday lunches. We celebrate whoever is having a birthday that month and they get to choose where we go to lunch. Please stop by our table during Activities Day to chat with us and see some samples of things we have crafted. Sun Lakes Quilters Scrapbooking January is a good time to re-think where we can change things we have done in the past. If you have thought about joining our group of sewing ladies we would love to have you join us this year. Our projects are simple ones and we can always use some good ideas on other items we can sew to donate. We meet each Tuesday afternoon from 12:45 to 2:30 pm in the "refreshed" Main Clubhouse Arts & Crafts Room. Items can be taken home to sew or you can work on them in the Arts & Crafts Room as we have two sewing machines available to us to use. So if you are wanting to donate some of your time to helping make things we donate to local organizations we'd love to have you!
