| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | JANUARY 2020 | 51 Executive Men's Golf We welcome all men golfers, no matter your golfing skill level, to join our club for some great golfing experiences on the Championship Course on Wednesdays. The scheduled January golf tournament will be a Four-Man Scramble (ABCD Computer Draw) on Wed., Jan. 15. A special recognition goes out to the Sun Lakes Men's Golf Club 2019 Championship winners: Bob Palmer, Overall Club Champion (photo right); Bob Blair, Senior Club Champ; Ted Matsunari, Super Senior Champ. A Membership Appreciation and Awards Banquet will be held on Fri., Jan. 24 in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom. Membership dues are $70 ($34 goes towards men's club dues and $36 pays for maintaining your S.C.G.A./Ghin handicap). Men's Golf Thanks to outgoing Board Members George Johns and Carl Christopher for their many years of service and dedication to the club. Welcome to new Board Members Bob Allbaugh, Don Laundreaux and Jess Ocampo. The Executive is an 18-hole course with six challenging par fours and lots of water. We have a tournament on the third Friday of the month followed by a catered lunch in the North Clubhouse. The first tournament of the year will be a Two-Man Scramble (pick your partner). The Executive Men's Club meets on Friday mornings at 8:30 for a 9 am shotgun start. Membership is open to all Sun Lakes male residents and all levels of golfers are welcome. Come join us! Are you interested in sharpening your short game skills? Do you enjoy having a relaxed game of golf? If you answered yes to any of these questions, you may wish to join our Saturday Morning Golf Group. We play on the Executive Course. Our membership includes men and women with a large range of handicaps. Our members share a love of the game. We have shotgun starts. Most of the year, October through June, the check in time is 8:30 am with a 9 am shotgun. In the summer, July through September, the check in time is 8 am with a 8:30 am shotgun. We hold monthly tournaments, an annual Club Championship competition, and quarterly dinners. Membership application forms are available in the North Pro Shop. Annual dues are only $15.
