Each member enjoys a rich array of engaging activities that integrate tennis, socializing, and, most of all, fun! Just as in 2019, the Tennis Club's 2020 events calendar is packed with terrific ways for everyone to participate in what many consider a lifelong sport. Are you new to the game? Free monthly clinics are offered on the first Saturday of each month, just prior to the monthly mixer. Beginners find these clinics and the mixers to be wonderful, fun ways to learn the game. Those members who are more advanced also enjoy our monthly get-togethers as a way of improving their skills. Come to the South Clubhouse tennis courts at 8:30 am. on the first Saturday of each month to join the fun. Do you like great food and conversation? Tennis Club events include pot luck and catered dinners to celebrate St. Patrick's Day, Cinco de Mayo, Oktoberfest, and a terrific brunch for the annual Breakfast at Wimbledon. These gastronomic extravaganzas are also a part of the quarterly meetings and social competitions like World Cup Tennis and Friday Night Lights. The annual Holiday Dinner Dance in December is a highly anticipated capstone event that celebrates the culmination of another successful year. The Sun Lakes Tennis Club always has something cooking! Tennis tournaments are a traditional mainstay of the Sun Lakes Tennis Club and are provided for those members who enjoy more formal, competitive tennis. The club's annual Mixed Doubles, Men's Doubles, and Women's Doubles tournaments ensure that everyone has an opportunity to compete in ways that are compatible with their interests. January is the perfect time to join the Tennis Club and get your name and contact information into the club's directory. Just drop your name and contact information (email address / phone number) with $10 into the box at the South Clubhouse. Checks should be made out to the Sun Lakes Tennis Club. All Sun Lakes residents are welcome to join! You can learn more about the Sun Lakes Tennis Club at the upcoming Activities Day on Sat., Jan. 18, from 9 am to 12 pm in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom.
