40 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JANUARY 2020 Our mission to learn, share, and have fun with photography starts each meeting with an intro to new members and upcoming events, a segment of tips and tricks, and presentation on format, style or gear use. We continue with sharing of the previous month's photo challenge and the selection of the next month's photo challenge, an open discussion on outings, and topic selection for the upcoming months. Our three images posted with this article were created by Nanette Scott. Her creative eye for landscape photography really shone in our November challenge for landscape photos. Our November meeting agenda included a deep dive into smartphone photography tips and tricks, and we all learned how to use our smartphones to take outstanding sharable images. Our challenge for December was Food Photography. We look forward to seeing images of our group's festivities. Our Tips and Tricks segment in December will be presented by Lyle Cameron, who will demonstrate a few of the options we have when utilizing artificial and flash lighting on and off camera. I can't wait for this segment. Our November photo outing took place at the Potrero Creek Wildlife area on Nov. 23 hosted by Steve Edelman and Tom Paulek who arranged access and provided amazing information on the history and preservation of the mysterious and forbidden land just south of our community. This was a fantastic event for all who attended. Thank you again Steve and Tom for your generosity and hard work on this outing. Our plans for adding a photo processing work study group have come together. Our first meeting with be the third Thursday of January Jan. 16 in the RCN Main Room at 10 am. In our first meeting we will gather to plan a topic outline designed to sharpen our processing knowledge and skills with various software options. So many interesting and exciting things in store for the Four Seasons Photography Club! Please drop in to see what all the excitement is about.
