38 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JANUARY 2020 Happy New Year! First, a 2019 recap: The Genuine Country Christmas Extravaganza Show produced by John Noonan and Pat Wayne had sold-out crowds on both nights. The Four Seasons Singers sounded wonderful. Months of rehearsing difficult holiday songs was time well-spent. In addition, there were very talented singers of solos and duets, including our Activities Director Cindy Graves. The running skit of trying to maintain a "countrified" town was cute and ran throughout the show. And, last but certainly not least, the toe tapping and heel banging of our line dancers was equally enjoyable. Overall, this was a fantastic evening of entertainment. Hats off to everyone involved, including our sound and lighting crew, for a job well done! Now, back to 2020! It's a new season of fun, free shows for the Performing Arts Club: Tuesday, Jan. 14, 6 pm - RCN 3 - Audition/Meeting for Scool (sic) Daze: John Horning and Paula Drake are teaming up again to produce another jam-packed variety show. The theme is 1950s school days, reminiscent of the movie Grease. Please come to this audition/meeting with ideas for songs, skits, dances, comedy, or whatever talent you have that's in keeping with the theme. There are also some speaking roles. Some will require memorization of lines, while others will not. If you've never been involved in one of our variety shows, you will need to audition your act. If you have participated in the past, be ready to audition, but you may not have to. The performance dates are, Friday, April 24 and Saturday, April 25. Mandatory tech and dress rehearsals will be Wednesday, April 22 and Thursday, April 23. So, if you're a singer, dancer, comedian, musician, or if you have another entertaining talent, please come out and join us. We hope to see you there. Saturday, Feb. 29, 6 pm - The Lodge Ballroom - Radio "Theater" Show: We are off to a great start on this show. Auditions were in December and we have a wonderful cast ready to begin weeks of rehearsals. There will be two different Radio Shows from the 1940s. One is a comedy and the other a drama/ mystery. The actors will be moving about the stage while reading from their scripts, acting out their roles so effectively, you forget that they're actually reading. We'll have stage sets and period costumes to help transport you to a different time and era. This is a free show and tickets are not needed. If you have any questions, contact me via email at terimk@verizon. net or call me at home, (951) 992-9156 or on my cell, (602) 308-0919. ~ Teri Meyers-Kelman Performing Arts Club Auditions for Scool Daze Jan. 14, 6 pm Ideas welcome!
