By Daniel Mendez I will guess that most of us are somewhat prepared for an emergency. We have flash lights, first aid kits, a water supply, and canned food. But is that enough if "The Big One" hits? When hundreds of people are calling 911 for help, how long will it take for the phone to be answered and help to arrive? It's a horrible thought, but the answer could be, "too late." We need experienced residents who know what to say and do in emergency situations which affect our entire community. That is why it is so important to keep the EPAC running each and every year. In 2020 only a couple of residents have volunteered to be on this committee. Free CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) training is available through the Hemet Fire Department. Meetings for the EPAC are held once a month at the Lodge on the second Monday of every month at 9:30 am.
