Booking slips are now being distributed from the front desk of the Clubhouse. It is very important to check out the far right column which indicates if you do have a confirmation for that specific date or a "not available." Please consider the "not available" as having no reservation for that specific date. Scheduling for 2020 is at an all-time high. The more flexible you are with making a reservation the better. Good luck and remember the Clubhouse is a lively place, filled with the sounds of laughter, singing, and music. CLUBHOUSE RENOVATIONS Clubhouse renovations begin soon after the new year. We will do our best to accommodate the existing reservations and notify those who will be affected with cancellation notices. Due to the renovations we will not be accepting private rental requests. Please note that the rates have increased and will be noted on the 2020 Set-Up Agreements located at the reception desk. Agreement forms dated prior to 2020 will no longer be accepted. DO DUES DAY Sat., Jan. 4 will be "Do Dues Day." This is the day you can meet with Club representatives and sign-up, in person, to become a member. You will also be able to sign-up for the various classes our community has to offer for the New Year. The event will be located in Abravanel Hall and the Galleria from 10 am until 2 pm. Remember to bring your check-book. Lunch will be sold at the bar by the RV Club. IMPERSONATOR SHOW TICKETS Wed., Jan. 8, the Impersonator show tickets will be sold at 8 am in the Galleria. Premeditated Productions presents "Rock and Roll Reunion" on Sun., Feb. 9. Doors open at 6:30 pm. Show begins at 7:30 pm. A tribute to the American originals: Ray Charles, Buddy Holly, Jerry Lee Lewis, Little Richard, and Sandy from Grease. You'll experience a high-energy, laugh-filled production. Be there or be square, Daddio! Leather jackets, rolled up jeans and poodle skirts are welcome. There will be a costume contest! Tickets will be $25 per person which includes the show, coffee, and dessert. See the enclosed flyer for more details. PRESIDENTIAL PRIMARY ELECTION Tues., March 3, Abravanel Hall will become two voting precincts from 7 am until 8 pm for the Presidential Primary Election. SPRING ARTS & CRAFTS FAIRE will be on Sat., March 28. EGGSTRAVAGANZA will be on Sat., April 11. SPRING CHORAL CONCERT will be Sun., May 17. BOOMER CONNECTION Boomers has taken their winter break and will start meeting again spring of 2020. BRIDGE LESSONS Mondays (beginners and intermediate) 10 am to 12 pm with Kaye Preston (760) 295-5157. We also have Wednesdays, for beginners and intermediate, from 10 am to 12 pm with Donna Stark (760) 842-5842. GOLF CLASS Thursdays from 11 am to 12 pm with Dori O'Rourke. MAHJONG Resident, Weiling Mao, is offering 16 tile Mahjong lessons every Monday from 3:30 to 5:30 pm in the Clubhouse. She teaches the most common Mahjong played by the Chinese in Asia and America. Learn how to quiet your mind while resting in silence. You will learn mindful movements, exercise joints from head to toe, and stretch. Cost is $5 per class.
