Committee
In December of 2017 the Master
Landscape Committee recommended that
the slopes along Leisure Village Drive be
renovated. The ground cover in many areas
had become diseased and in some areas the
plants had died. We recommended that the
irrigation, design concept and continuity be
the focus. Our goal for this project was to
transform the OHCC slopes into a beautiful
composition of flowering ground cover, and
interesting leaf colored evergreen shrubs and
trees. The project was mindful to use both
drought tolerant as well as disease and bug
resistant types of plants.
The committee identified 10 slopes which
will be completed this year. The remaining
slopes may be renovated in 2020 with approval
of the Master Board. We think that the results
of adding color, various sizes, and shapes
have given the completed slopes a natural but
spectacular view as we or our visitors drive
or walk along Leisure Village Drive. We hope
that you will enjoy the renovations too!
The Landscape Committee has been focusing on the renovation of slopes.
