The Lawrence Welk Theater in Escondido is a perfect location for retirees to enjoy a great stage show Chorus Line, and eat a delicious luncheon prepared by a chef. An added plus is shopping for bargains at the large gift shop. The bus leaves at 9 am on Sat., March 14, and returns by 4:30 pm. Everyone is welcome to participate. For all of you social dancers who would like an opportunity to experience "West Coast Swing," The "Waltz" or "Cha-Cha," come to the classes scheduled with Rene Rivera on Feb. 23 at the South Clubhouse, March 8 at the North Clubhouse, March 22 at the South Clubhouse, all from 3 to 5 pm. Both singles and couples will be accommodated. If you like to dance, this is for you. Leather-soled shoes are suggested. Stardust Dancers Int'l Culture Club In the month of February the ICC will celebrate "Valentine's Day." Our dinner dance will be held on Feb. 13 at 5:30 pm. We will dance to the music of Tin Man's Heart. You will find a pre-set dinner salad with warm rolls and butter, and there will be ranch and Italian dressings on the tables. Our entrées will consist of a carving station of strip loin and chicken cordon bleu, with mashed potatoes and gravy, and glazed carrots. For dessert, we will enjoy chocolate cheesecake with peanut butter ganache. Sign up for this dinner dance on the first Thursday afternoon of the month at 3 pm at the North Clubhouse. Members will pay $25 and non-resident guests $28. Our try-before-you-join is still in effect. If you find after signing up that you cannot attend, call Carol Hurt at (951) 769-1315 no later than the following Sunday afternoon after the sign up and she will return your check. After Sunday afternoon you can request a take-out meal box from Carol which you will be able to pick up after 7 pm on the night of the dinner dance.
