FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | FEBRUARY 2020 19
It's official. K. Hovnanian has sold all the houses in our community.
Soon they will turn over the remaining areas they control and
homeowners will take their places on the Board of Directors. What
does that mean for the Architectural Review Committee? Not much.
ARC is charged with preserving and improving the appearance of
and ensuring continuity in design for our community. Prior to the
commencement of any exterior work, all owners must first obtain
approval from ARC.
All newly constructed homes were required to complete an ARC-
approved landscape plan within six months of closing the sale.
However, all homeowners who desire to make any external changes
to their home and/or landscaping must also apply for and receive
an approval from ARC, regardless of when the first landscaping was
installed.
ARC continues to work with all homeowners and will continue
to complete fair and consistent reviews of exterior improvements
to ensure improvements adhere to the established guidelines. ARC
does not seek to restrict individual creativity or personal preference.
ARC continually evaluates the Architectural Guidelines to
determine if revisions and/or amendments are required. Such
revisions might be the result of changes in the CC&Rs, the HOA
bylaws, governmental ordinances or laws, new technology or
limitations required by these changes.
So even though K. Hovnanian will soon exit our community, ARC
will continue to work with all homeowners to preserve and improve
the appearance of the community while protecting the value of our
homes.
If you have any questions or would like to discuss a planned change
to the outside of your home, please attend one of our meetings which
are held on the first and third Wednesday of each month in the RCN
Conference Room beginning at 8:30 am. ~ Steve Cooley, (801) 815-
