By Danya O'Harra Welcome back to another crash course in dwellingLIVE, our community's user- friendly database system that helps approve guests and vendors for entry into Four Seasons Beaumont. Last month we reviewed what dwellingLIVE is, why it is important to become an active user, and how to take the first steps. This month we are going to go over some of the easy to use features this program provides! As discussed in my previous article, the first step is to be registered. Some recent new users have requested clarification as to what I meant in my last article when I said residents may register for dwellingLIVE "by entering the email address they previously registered with management." One might assume that if they are receiving our community's Daily Report emails, or if they receive regular email correspondence from management staff, that the communicating resident should already be registered in all community systems. This is only partially true. From an administrative access perspective, each resident that moves into the community will be input into our dwellingLIVE database. However, residents are not necessarily automatically provided a resident controlled access account unless it is requested, and the initial prompt email is acted upon. If you would like to receive a resident controlled access account, please contact our community's Operation Coordinator Nelly Alcocer, Monday – Friday, at (951)769-6358 or Nelly.Alcocer@FSResidential.com. Now you are registered. What's next? It is time to get familiar with dwellingLIVE's features! After logging in for the very first time you will want to change the temporary password you have been issued. This can be done by clicking My Account in the top right corner of your desktop computer screen, then selecting Edit on the far right side of your name. In this area of the website, you will find ways to add or change contact information, include a personalized photo, request an email or text every time someone attempts to enter the community using your address, and you will see the option to change your password. Once you have entered a new personalized password you can explore the other areas of your new dwellingLIVE account by returning to the Home page. Once you are back on the home page of dwellingLIVE, you'll see four links to some amazingly helpful features; Add Guest, Add Party, Restrict Guest, and Guest History. Each feature is self-explanatory and exceptionally user friendly. Any additions to your various guests lists may be categorized as temporary, permanent, or a party attendee. Have family visiting for a week? This is the area of dwellingLIVE you'll want to visit to add their names and set a specified date range for their access. If you are adding a permanent guest, like a home healthcare worker or cleaning service, you may selected single or multiple days of the week in which they should be allowed access. Party attendees are input in a more simplistic manner to allow for large group entries. Do not forget to click the blue save button on the bottom right corner of your screen before you move on to the next task. Please remember that residents who may feel overwhelmed by this process may visit The Lodge Front Desk to pick up flyers that contain illustrated, step-by-step instructions on all things dwellingLive. If you come across what appear to be technical issues with your account or the dwellingLIVE website, please request assistance from dwellingLIVE itself by clicking the Tech Support button found on the top right of your computer desktop screen. A drop screen will appear with commonly asked questions and detailed instructions on how to understand each issue. Thank you for taking the time to become familiar with dwellingLIVE. 6 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | FEBRUARY 2020 Using dwellingLIVE, Part II
