I can't say Happy New Year enough. Yes, it is 2020 — can you believe it? Can you remember being in elementary school in the 50s, maybe the 40s and the teachers were much larger than you – and you would say yes ma'am or yes sir. The paddle was always available to them if you didn't follow the rules. Now you hold the paddle — or think you do. If you have grand kids you know what I mean if (hit them and go to jail). By now you have recovered from the holidays, that resolution to never drink a cocktail ever again, never to stay up past 11 pm, never to slip behind the drivers wheel after drinking two or three beers, well now you can try to select one resolution and try to stick by it. Or not! The year 2019 has come and gone. Let's hope that as time goes on, we began this decade with our eyes wide open and our bodies feeling up to the challenge. February brings us Valentine's Day and Presidents Day. Presidents Lincoln and Washington were born in February. Valentine's Day, February 14th, was created to celebrate the feast day of Saint Valentine every year. Hopefully a lot of residents have had a chance to meet our new Activities Director Tracie Rodgers. Tracie comes to Four Seasons with a long resume of prior experience in this position at other venues. A man who operates in the shadows is Tim Gross our handyman. You may spot a happy fellow driving a red, raised, golf cart, with an attached toolbox and a map of Four Seasons on the dashboard. After watching the great job Tim Gross does, you wonder why we bother to contract with others. Message from the Board of Directors 2 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | February 2020 | Sincerely, and on behalf of your Board of Directors, Jim Crase, Tony Criscenti, Gene Hikel, Ken Pounders, Cliff Post and Greg Rockvam Jim Hatcher President
