| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | February 2020 | 7 The season of LOVE is upon us. So often after the hustle and bustle of the holiday season we go back to our daily routines. As I try to compose this article a crew of volunteers are undressing the Lodge of our Christmas trappings. During the Christmas season we as a general populace are more tolerant and more generous with our fellow neighbors. Here at Four Seasons your giving was overwhelming. The Salvation Army was able to double the families served this year from the year prior because of your generosity. They went from serving 250 families to 500! This did not include your donations for the Veterans Tree that were delivered by the truck load and received with gracious hearts. Earlier in the fall money was raised during the Car Show and Casino Night to assist The Community Pantry in feeding hungry folks. What a great introduction to this community, I am so happy to be here with all of you. Now let's talk about the love shared by the organizers. What incredible people! In the conversations I shared with these teams whether it is decorating the Lodge, ironing table cloths for New Years, dressing the Ballroom for New Year's or the many calls to arrange meeting space for the multiple activities. The common tone of all the conversations is that these people care and want to make sure your community thrives. My favorite part of these conversations was being privy to next year's plans and the enthusiasm behind them. Take a look at the Social Committee's article for fun pictures and to see some of the hard working people behind the scenes. I have loved meeting so many of you, in person and over the telephone. I have had a common question come my way so here is the answer: I am not erasing the calendar — there are items that have been preplanned and I have every intention of honoring them. As the year unfolds and comes to shape I will keep you informed. That brings up another point, weekly sometimes daily email blasts go to the entire community. If you are not receiving them please reach out so we can re-subscribe you. I have encountered several situations where the resident has unsubscribed accidentally and is no longer receiving these emails. Also when you open these emails, clicking on the download image option is important so you can see the information in its entirety. Talking about love we can't forget our love of wine! Feb. 8 is a wine pairing event, back by popular demand. This event will showcase the Wien's Family Winery and paired bites by Fransisco's Catering. Last, but not least is the love the committees have shared with me regarding Tim Gross, the individual in charge of maintenance. He has gone above and beyond to be of assistance to each of the needs in the Lodge and most days has gone home covered in glitter. I can't tell you how many times he has climbed the ladder or taken yet another item to the storage bin and has maintained a sincere smile. Okay folks, let's get out there and continue to share the love! You are what makes Four Seasons at Hemet so lovely.
