Welcome to your Four Seasons library. All books are donated by residents and belong to Four Seasons. We work using the honor system. What you "borrow" you return. The hardbound fiction section is very lean. Please check your stack of books and return what you've read. The DVD movies have been moved opening up the cabinets under the paperback books for our use. We are excited to be working on how best to utilize that space. Last month a beautiful set of Rhymes by Jeff McMahon was left in our library. They are so awesome that we want to have a children's section! We will keep you posted on changes. The hardbound fiction books are displayed from 2010-2020. They are alphabetized by author. Our paperback books are displayed from 2015-2020, also alphabetized by author. You will notice that the over- sized books are moving into the regular size books. It certainly seems that authors are competing for the largest sized paperback book! Please donate your magazines dated January, February and March to be displayed. Smaller magazines are accepted and put on our tables to read while there. We are pleased to let you know that LARGE PRINT books now have a green sticker on the outside making it easier to locate. Please donate them if possible. We do hope you enjoyed Sherri Domenigoni's author talk. She writes and illustrates her own books. The authors who speak at Four Seasons do it free of charge AND donate copies of their books for our library. Not all authors will be your favorite but all authors have that gift of writing. We need your attendance to keep them saying "yes." We have some talented authors in the future scheduled including Four Seasons authors. If you have had a book published and we aren't aware of that – please get in touch with us. A couple of new cameras have been installed in Four Seasons and one of them was put in the library. It took me a bit to even see it! I've only fallen once but I did not like that experience. This is for safety purposes. No room this month for a book review! I'm already at my word limit! From Blair, "Libraries allow children to ask questions about the world and find the answers. And the wonderful thing is that once a child learns to use a library, the doors to learning are always open." ~ Laura Bush | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | March 2020 | 13 Library Committee Have you noticed the vast improvement in the appearance in our Four Seasons community in the past couple of years? This is not an accident. With the diligent work of the Facilities and Landscape Committees, our First Residential staff has been active in assuring the quality of our community and improvement of our property values. How is this accomplished? All homes in our Four Seasons community are inspected by our First Residential staff weekly for maintenance and compliance with our Architectural Standards and Regulations. In addition, homes listed for sale receive a specific inspection. If work has been completed without the required Architectural Review Committee approvals as required by our C,C and R's and the Architectural Standards and Regulations as approved by our Board of Directors, or maintenance issues have been deferred, you will be notified by staff of violation(s). Our staff has records of the original building paint colors for all our homes, records of previous ARC approvals, as well as earlier photos of our homes for use to determine if work has been done without approvals, including change of colors, removal of trees, or other work completed without approval. It is your responsibility to correct the violation(s), either by seeking ARC approval of the completed work that is in violation, or removing the violation(s). In the case of homes for sale, either of these actions will be required prior to your close of escrow. If the violations are not corrected, your property will be noted in violation. With an existing violation on your property, your escrow company will not be able to proceed with your sale. Do not trap yourself in this problem. Do not do work to your property without the required approvals. Your neighbors, nextdoor.com, your friends, or a member of the ARC are not the proper source to determine whether you need an Architectural Review Committee approval. The only correct source to answer any questions regarding these issues is your Architectural Assistant, Maria Donti. If in doubt, ask. You can make an appointment to speak with Maria at The Lodge phone, (951) 325-8188 or email maria.donti@fsresidential.com. Please respect her time. Due to her heavy staff work load, she is not necessarily available to speak with you on a walk-in basis. Thank you for helping us keep our Four Seasons community safe, quiet, and beautiful.
