20 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | March 2020 | We took a deep breath to honor our volunteers who make up Team Sunshine. We are proud to celebrate this amazing team. Our celebratory luncheon was held on Jan. 23 at Datillo's Ristorante. Our Co-Chairs, Margie Culton and Brenda Beers opened the festivities by expressing thanks to our "luncheon team" – Patty Jones, Colleen Ferguson, Leola Kindt and Chair, Vangie Williams. These ladies pulled out all the stops with table décor and favors that made this occasion very special. We would be remiss if we did not mention the fine cuisine served at Datillo's. The service was outstanding. Team Sunshine also honored two outstanding volunteers for their efforts during the year. Our Team Sunshine Volunteers of the Year are Sharon Sims and Patty Jones. We honor their extra time and talents in helping serve this community and Team Sunshine. We share our Steering Committee who place tasks to be accomplished before the Team and discuss future plans and activities. (L-R – back row): Mary Swinney, Margie Culton, Trish Moorhouse, Jackie Peterson, Carole Barber and Jeanne Lincoln. Front Row: Helen Johnson and Brenda Beers) We gathered at this special time to say, "well done" to a group of individuals who place others first in so many ways. Whether they are sending cards, making telephone calls, greeting newcomers to the community or delivering medical equipment, they offer their time and service without a "pat on the back" or special recognition. Thank you, Team Sunshine! Celebrations of Life/Memorials: We recently received word of the passing of Barbara Morrison. Our condolences to her family and friends. We also learned of the passing of Clarence Meade. We extend our condolences to family and friends. We don't always hear of all loss here in Four Seasons. We extend our sincere condolences to those families who are mourning the loss of a loved one. Closing Thoughts: "Kindness is a language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see." ~ Mark Twain Team Sunshine With each sunrise we are given a chance for a new beginning Caregiver Support Group & Free Resources Sponsored by Arbor Hospice & The Four Seasons - Team Sunshine Facilitated by Mark Ruybalid, M.A. The first Tuesday o f e a c h m o n t h 10:30 - 11:30 AM Join us on: 8190 Parry Dr. Hemet, CA Four Seasons - Hemet
