22 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | MARCH 2020 We sold out the "Rock 'n Roll Reunion" on Feb. 23 and we added two more tables to make additional accommodations given we had the space for this event. We sure hope you enjoyed it. We will be having a paint night on April 10 so we hope you plan to attend. The cost is $35 per seat and ticket sales will be held on March 2 at 9 am. The Art Barn is hosting the class in the Ballroom. There are 100 seats available. BYOB. Additionally, we are making a change in our ticket sales procedure. All persons interested in buying tickets will line up by 8:30 am at the table in front of the Lobby Ballroom entrance where you will receive your number and form. Once everyone has their number, they will enter and sit in numerical order, fill out the form to list who you are buying tickets for and have your money available, same as before. Social Committee will then call your number starting at 9 am and you will receive your tickets. This will become a one-time visit to purchase tickets and when you choose to come and line up is dependent on the buyer. We believe this will make it easier for everyone per your comments and requests. Have a great March! ~ Joyce Hogue, jhogue54@gmail.com Social Committee Let's play a little game and test your knowledge about our community. Below are 10 true or false questions. Good luck! 1. True or False: Four Seasons is a gate-guarded community. False. Four Seasons is a gated, private community with a gate attendant. The attendant is not a guard, and is there only to control activity coming into the community. 2. True or False: The Potrero Gate is staffed 24/7. False. Our gate attendants begin work at 5 am and do a quick run- through our community looking for vehicles parked on the street for more than eight hours. The gate is staffed from 6 am until 8:45 pm at which time the closing attendant drives through our community making a note for the morning gate attendant of cars parked on the street. 3. True or False: If you contact the police or fire department after hours, you need to wait at the gate to let them in or provide them your gate code. False. The police, fire, and ambulance company all have access to gain entry into the community after hours. 4. True or False: If you want to report something suspicious you contact the gate attendant. False. The gate attendant cannot leave their post, so you would contact the Beaumont Police Department and then notify Four Seasons management. 5. True or False: When approaching the gate, you should always stop where directed to and wait for the car ahead of you to enter and let the arms come down. True. Before using your transponder and entering the gate, allow the car ahead you to enter and the gate arms to come down. The gate arms are programmed to close after the rear axle passes the sensor. At this point there is a 10-second delay to allow for a third axle to pass through in the event you are towing a trailer. You should never get close to a car waiting at the gate as your transponder could trigger it to open for them. Always stay behind the line. Additionally, if you pass through the gates at a high rate of speed, the sensor could miss your car and leave the arms up for any non-resident to enter. 6. True or False: Every time one of your guests arrive, the attendant will contact you to let you know they are here. False. If you have the guest on your dwellingLIVE list, the gate attendant will allow them access. They will only contact you if the name of the guest is not on your list. 7. True or False: If you see someone who does not belong in the community, you should contact the gate attendant. False. You should contact the police and notify management. The attendant cannot leave the gate. 8. True or False: If you receive a parking violation for parking on the street overnight, you should contact the management office and they will take care of it. False. You will need to follow the process for any violation. 9. True or False: At 8:45 pm every night the gate attendant will drive all the streets in the community looking for anything suspicious. False. They are only recording cars parked on the street and will follow up at 5:45 am when they begin the next shift to place a reminder or violation for your parking violation. How did you do? I hope you found this information helpful. ~ Kathy Craven, kathycraven@rocketmail.com Safety Committee April 10 Paint Night painting
