44 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | MARCH 2020 | On March 8, we proudly present the Everly Brothers Experience. In 2016, brothers Zachary and Dylan Zmed (acoustic guitars/vocals) and their partner (drummer) Burleigh Drummond began developing their show, the Everly Brothers Experience. Since then they have celebrated the harmonic sounds of the Everly brothers with enthusiastic crowds all around the world in clubs, theaters, performing arts centers, casinos, ballrooms, and coliseums. The Zmeds say, "Our aim is to honor the aesthetics of their iconic sound and honor their unique place in music history while telling our own personal story." Growing up with a father, a traveling singer/dancer/ actor, and a mother, a second grade teacher in Southern California, the Zmed brothers continually strive to pay homage to their roots by always infusing a blend of entertainment and education in their show. Tickets for the show are $20 for members, $25 for non-resident guests. Doors open at 6 pm, show begins at 7 pm. Make checks out to Friendship Club, and deliver them to 5168 Rio Bravo Drive. The Friendship Club Yiddish Culture Club Spring is just around the corner and we are going to shake things up with WORD BINGO at the club's Wednesday event, March 11 at 7 pm, in the Main Clubhouse. It is time to get out of the house and meet your neighbors, have fun and maybe win a gift card! Everyone who signs up will receive five Bingo Cards with dauber. The winner of each game will receive a gift card! How lucky do you feel? Cost to attend this month is $8 for members and $11 for non- members. This must be paid in advance by March 8. We will not be collecting at the door for this event. Please mail or drop off your check at the home of Diane Stone, 1800 Litchfield. Informational flyers are available in the Main Clubhouse shelf near the receptionist desk. Our annual Miriam Seder comes early on April 1. Watch for the flyer information for this event and plan to attend. We are going to have a fantastic Passover traditional feast that represents and celebrates miracles, love, resilience, and freedom. Payment for this event will be due earlier than usual. New and meaningful events are always in the works for our membership. Do not sit at home alone. There is a little bit of something for everyone. Try us. You can join anytime. If it is your birthday and/ or anniversary, you will receive a sweet treat.
