| OHCC LIVING | MARCH 2020 | 29
The Photo Club activity for Thurs., March 19 will be a slideshow
and critique of photos shot on the club's February field trip to the
San Diego Zoo Safari Park, led by Jody and Jim McDonough. We took
advantage of the Safari Park's free admission for seniors (65 and up)
during the month of February. For some reason, a lot of our members
were able to qualify for this offer. The Safari Park is one of San Diego's
most famous and popular attractions, but in February the number of
visitors is understandably fewer. But we're already here.
All participants of the field trip are invited to submit up to
five images that they shot that day. The objective is to provide an
interesting and attractive photographic record of the flora and
fauna living in the park. All images should be .jpegs that are 1080
pixels. The width for each image will follow automatically. Each
photographer will select one or more images and will describe their
aims in shooting them. To be included in the critique, images must
be submitted to Jim McDonough at jpmcdjr@gmail.com, no later
than March 15. If you don't know how to make images of the desired
size, call Jim.
The meeting and slideshow is at 1 pm in the Ladies' Club Room,
in the OHCC Clubhouse. Our seating capacity is somewhat reduced,
because part of the access to the Clubhouse during the remodeling
is through this room; partitions will provide some separation from
the foot traffic and visual privacy. To get a good seat, arrive on time.
The Photography Club is open to all OHCC residents. Photographic
expertise is not required and if the only camera you have is your
phone, that's okay. We can all learn from each other. Annual dues
are $8.
