34 | OHCC LIVING | MARCH 2020 | Ocean Hills Senior Fitness Club exercise classes are offered three times each week in the Clubhouse. It is not too late to sign up for the 2020 year at the front desk with your check for $5 to join the Ocean Hills Sr. Fitness Club. Please include your email address and phone number on your check. The Chair Yoga class will usually be held in the Abravanel Hall every Monday and Wednesday at 11:15 am (no mats) with Cheryl Todd, a professional instructor. Please come by 11 am to sign in. The cost is only $5 for each class attended. The first class is FREE. The Chair-to-Mat class will usually be held in the Mykonos Room every Tuesday at 8 am (bring mat and towel). The Tuesday class is free because the professional instructor Tatis Cervantes- Aiken is an OHCC Resident. You need to be a member of the OH Senior Fitness Club to attend any of the three classes. Check us out on the Ocean Hills website under clubs. Senior Fitness Club Tai Chi Hello Tai Chi friends… Please check the weekly Clubhouse schedule before coming to class as the regular room may be changed due to the demand for the rooms by the Clubhouse. Thanks for your cooperation and understanding. God bless! ~ Lai Mei Calorie Free Happy Hour Low to no impact aerobics – NO JUMPING! Classes are available on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 10 to 11 am with instructor Christine Alesiani. You can choose the number of classes each week that you would like to attend. There is no class available on the second Wednesday of each month. Christine leads the class in a warm up session, then the aerobic session, and a cool down. We use weights from 10:50 to 11 am. The instructor sometimes adds a few exercises for balance and an easy dance for fun. The cost is $5 per class. You can pay for and try two classes without joining the club. The annual dues are $6 (Please make the check payable to OH Aerobics). Aerobics Ladies and gents, come join this FREE exercise class. We follow along DVD presentations by certified instructor Anne Burnell. This workout program is designed to help us seniors develop strength, stability and balance while seated in chairs. We meet twice a week at 9 am, Wednesdays in the Hall or Mykonos Room and on Fridays at 9 am in the Mykonos Room. Please check the weekly schedule to see which room it is in. Please bring one weight. Stretch & Balance Morning exercise An exercise class is held on Mondays and Fridays, 8 to 9 am in Abravanel Hall. Attendees bring a floor mat and light hand weights for this moderate head-to-toe workout. June Cooper has led this class for many years and does a wonderful job! Come join us! It is free.
