As a reminder, food and drinks are available from our restaurant and lounge, or you can bring food from home. Many cash prizes and door prizes are won each week. Sun Lakes Advisory Committee Reports We are happy to see more Advisory Committees submitting articles about the important work they are doing in Sun Lakes. Our goal is to have all active Advisory Committees share their news here each month. Thank you in advance for everyone's participation! Communications Good Day Sun Lakes at Channel 97 has a lot of new programming that will interest Sun Lakers. The format is lively with Sun Lakers providing audio commentary for sports, club events, and interviews. You'll be surprised when you recognize friends' voices. The video style is a mixture of animated slides and live action. For example: one new segment of our new News & Views show is "Staff Spotlight" that focuses on staff from the Restaurant/Lounge management and soon, golf management. We will present bios of some of the staff and live on- camera interviews. These segments will rotate in the show schedule. Remember, you can always check the schedule at SunLakesCC.com. The content that you see and hear on Channel 97 takes a lot of effort but we think this work is worth it as we have something unique with the quality of our news channel at Sun Lakes. Your friends and neighbors are involved with organizing, writing, reporting, and taping Channel 97 segments. Some staff have particular areas that they are interested in: interviews, sports reports, club reporting. Our production staff have a lot of experience with up-to-date video production. What a wealth of talent we have at Sun Lakes! Just remember, Channel 97 is for Sun Lakers by Sun Lakers. Good Day Sun Lakes at Channel 97 will be playing on some of the monitors in the Main Clubhouse. As occurred previously, Master Board meetings and District Delegate meetings will be showing twice daily to keep you current with activities that effect all Sun Lakes residents — just check the schedule. Coming in April will be a new feature on Channel 97 called News & Views. It will be more like a news show with updated commentary. Also the Communications Advisory Committee would like to remind all residents to remember to vote in the April HOA election. DELEGATE ASSEMBLY 10 am & 10 pm The District Delegate Assembly Meeting is the monthly open session meeting of the 23 District Delegates that discuss issues that arise in the districts, reports from management staff and the Master Board of Directors to the delegates. MASTER BOARD MEETING 12 midnight & 12 noon The Master Board of Directors Open Session is the monthly open session of the Master Board meeting in the Ballroom. THE VILLAGE BEAT THE ENTERTAINERS 2, 5 & 8 am • 2, 5 & 8 pm The Village Beat features the many clubs and groups in Sun Lakes. Video announcements of their meetings, special events and activities. It also includes a feature called The Entertainers featuring various entertainment available in Sun Lakes, such as music in the Lounge, Ballroom or Veranda, plays, dances, concerts, movies, comedy, etc. If it is entertainment for the whole community, then it will be featured. THE EXPLORER 4 & 7 am • 4 & 7 pm The Explorer features the Recreation Department's excursions and tours. You will see short video descriptions of the excursions and tours, dates and costs NEWS & VIEWS/SPORTS CORNER 3, 6 & 9 am • 3, 6 & 9 pm News & Views is a show with special features and interviews. Updates on special events, reviews of prior special events, introducing our wonderful staff that work hard for us, human interest stories about unique residents and their life stories. We will also feature the Sports Corner with stories on upcoming competitions and tournaments and who the winners are.
