48 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | APRIL 2020 | Wow! This coronavirus is really putting a cramp in everyone's fun-muscles! The hubby and I had planned a cruise this year for our 35th wedding anniversary and my birthday that ends in a zero. I have health issues, so the cruise is not going to sail for our household. BUT, this brings me to REASON 4,000,023 TO OWN AN RV… You're more than six feet away from strangers (unlike a hotel or cruise ship where you are tripping over people as soon as you walk out the door, and strangers with unknown health statuses are coming into your room at all hours of the day to clean things, replace things, fix things, or just snoop — all the while TOUCHING YOUR STUFF). So, our family plans on going on a long RV trip this year. I'll try to work in a few craft shows and shops and my husband will work in his relatives (99 percent of I love love love, but hey, I have a built in excuse not to stay at the other 1 percent's house – TAH DAH – I'm a genius). Here's the Sun Lakes RV Club's currently planned activities for the rest of 2020: May 3-8: Pechanga at Temecula - Yep, going to this one! Oct. 4-9: Wine Country RV at Paso Robles - Not only going, but we're the Trailbosses (I love being the boss LOL) October ?? Pizza Party - Never miss this one. December ?? Holiday Party - Rarely miss this one (only when it's our Texas family's turn for Christmas) March's Distant Drums trip is over, but there's always Pechanga in May. May in Pechanga! Who doesn't love Pechanga? Casino, shopping, dining, great golf, swimming pool, hot tub, game room… Pechanga recently upgraded their entire casino/resort and extended the RV Park. This, like our Pala trip in 2019, will be a fun-filled trip. Hopefully we'll have another winery tour, who knows. Wine Country RV in Paso Robles is one of my favorite places to go, and as you read above, the hubby and I are going to be the trail bosses. Want to be on our committee? It's fun. You get to sit around and devise things for other people to do and eat. Joining's easy! Call Sandy Alexanian for information at (951) 381- 1292. Our Bible study group is non-denominational.
