We had a great demo on the proper way to add a sleeve to hang your quilt (by Norma Manes). Come join us on the first, third, and fifth Mondays at 1 pm. Everyone is feverishly working on their own individual projects: jewelry creations, heritage albums and a long overdue photo album for a child who is now well into adulthood. Easter cards and photo books are in the planning stages. A new member is getting acclimated to the goings on of our group and enjoying the social aspects of our get-togethers. In February, we trekked over to Marla's in Beaumont for a birthday lunch for the two gals who had birthdays in February. There were 14 of us and we shared the birthday cards, both handmade and store bought, as we passed them around the table. It's so much fun to see what some of the others have created. We meet in the Multipurpose Room every Monday from 1 to 3 pm, with the exception of the second Monday of the month. That's when we get together for our birthday lunches, or possibly a field trip to somewhere new. Feel free to peek your head in on a Monday and say hello and see what we're up to. There are no dues and everyone is welcome, no matter if you've ever scrapbooked or done crafts of this kind before. It's such an enjoyable group of women and we love trading supplies, information, and new ideas. Spring is upon us. Maybe it's a good time to learn something new, make new friends, and discover the hidden creativity hidden in all of us. Sun Lakes Quilters Scrapbooking Come join us on Tuesdays from 12:45 to 2:30 pm in the Arts & Crafts Room if you would like to help in making items to be donated to our community. Needed are people who have time and love to knit or crochet lap blankets. We will supply the yarn if you supply the time! Pictured are our bunnies and owls ready to be given to children at San G hospital, San Bernardino pregnancy center or child help. We enjoy a potluck the last Monday of each month. Join the fun! What?
