34 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | APRIL 2020 | The International Dancers of Sun Lakes are enthusiastically practicing for their next big show in November. A special article was published in the March 20 issue of Sun Lakes Life newspaper, highlighting Blanca Martinez, professional teacher of Folkloric dance. A short history of the diversity of Folkloric dance throughout Mexico, central and south America was added. Patricia Juarez' phone number was included, as coordinator of the dance (see below). Donna Kissling and Victoria Simenton are pleased with the addition of new Belly dancers, now equaling 24 members. The classes begin with stretching exercises and isolation of muscles, beneficial to the whole physique. Then the class is divided, and Donna teaches beginners, Victoria working with those who have participated in past performances. The third phase of the practice entails dancing with veils, in which the whole class participates. All members enjoy dancing with veils. All of the coordinators welcome new people to their dance practices. Come and join us if you like to dance, have fun, and enjoy comradeship with other women.
